Regional International Medical Director – Respiratory & Immunology (R&I) Biologics
Location: Dubai UAE (3 days on site per week)

What you’ll do
As the Regional International Medical Director you will be the voice for asthma and immunology and influence global strategies and deliverables, ensuring the International Region markets are primed for success. You'll lead the charge in defining product priorities, supporting execution in top countries, and crafting above-country activity plans. Your role will be pivotal in communicating timely strategies and deliverables, fostering a strong network for best practice-sharing, and resolving collaborative issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure MC product launch readiness in International Region markets
Develop regional early asset strategy for late-stage pipeline medicines
Define core KPIs and regularly monitor performance in the top 8-10 International Region markets
Foster ongoing International Region talent development within R&I team
Influence Global R&I product strategy/tactics, ensuring needs of prioritised countries are met
Develop R&I product specific network of people across the International Region
Lead internal International Medical communication for asthma and immunology products
Ensure execution of International pre-launch and pre-LCM readiness in prioritized markets
Regular visits/engagement with priority markets to understand medical challenges/opportunities
Ensure prioritized countries have appropriate local medical plans completed effectively
Ensure appropriate regional medical plan is implemented effectively meeting the needs of prioritised markets
Partner with SM&M Regional counterpart for appropriate selection of countries/sites during study feasibility
Review above-country ESR proposals, considering opportunities for ESR cross market alignments
Requirements:
MD, PhD, MSc or PharmD
3+ years experience in medical affairs roles, including market company experience
Demonstrate deep scientific expertise in the fields of respiratory medicine and immunology
Experience in launching new medicines
Deep understanding of the healthcare system, key decision-makers and dynamics in the wider healthcare ecosystem
Extensive experience in a Medical Affairs function within the pharmaceutical industry
Ability to lead cross-functional working groups and teams
Excellent influencing and collaborator management capabilities
Experience in working in an international matrix environment, both in in-market and in above-market roles
Profound knowledge of different types of medical evidence and experience in applying it to the portfolio
Strong understanding of, and experience with market access and regulatory processes
Desirable for the role
MD or PhD in Respiratory, Immunology or other relevant field
Strong leadership experience gained through previous line management
Direct experience in clinical trials and/or Real World Evidence
Enterprise attitude gained through local and global experience
Experience in working in a joint venture environment
Experience working in a global role
Launch experience in first to market product category
